I'm a full-stack software engineer who is passionate about anything tech.

Tardis Research — Software Engineer

September 2021 — PRESENT


Software engineer working on both backend and frontend with an eye for data science and innovation. Responsible for overseeing and managing sprints within a team of multidisciplinary developers. Primarily working with Python, Postgres, Javascript and technology such as Docker and Redis.

Fox-IT — Security Analyst (Part-time)

January 2020 — August 2021


Security analyst in the SOC of one of the leading cyber security companies in Europe. Network forensics as well as customer contact and training are key tasks of the function.

ASML — Technology Ambassador

September 2019 — July 2021


As part of a scholarship grant I have participated in a two year track where professional coaches have guided us on personal development, teamwork, and communication. The time spent with fellow scholarship recipients has been very inspiring and insightful.

Navara — Software Developer Intern

April - July 2019


To complete my Bachelor’s degree I have worked as a software intern on a large project at Navara. This provided me with a great view in the world of a developer or consultant.

Ampelmann — VR Developer

With the skills acquired in Sydney I have worked on a VR simulator where future operators can practice in a safe, offshore, environment.

Delft University of Technology — Master: Data Science - Cyber Security

September 2019 - August 2021


After having completed my Bachelor’s degree, I’ve continued my studies in computer science with the Data Science master, with a specialisation in Cyber security. The study has been completed with an average course grade of 8.1, and an 8.5 for my thesis project Periscope (see section on noteworthy projects).

University of Sydney — Minor: Business, Social Sciences

July 2018 - November 2018


During my bachelor's I took the opportunity to study abroad for one semester at the University of Sydney. Here I thoroughly enjoyed a different field of study as well as a foreign culture and country.

Delft University of Technology — Bachelor: Computer Science and Engineering

August 2016 - July 2019


I’ve completed my Bachelor in computer science, providing me with a broad knowledge of Computer Science and all related matters.

Grotius College — High school: VWO (Bilingual)

September 2010 - July 2016


Completed high school at VWO level. The main language of the vast majority of the curriculum has been English, as part of the International Baccalaureate track.

Periscope

Censorship-Resistant Off-Chain Traffic Tunnelling

A protocol that allows for tunneling of internet traffic between two hosts over a stream of Bitcoin micro-transactions embedded with data using the Lightning Network. Periscope is my thesis project, and can be read here. Interested in the code? You can find that here.

Particle Playground

Interactive physics simulator

Web-based physics simulator written in Javascript. Particles orbit around a body. The user can experiment by changing parameters and observe changes in the system. Try it out (best viewed on non-mobile)!

Virtual reality lab environment where students can practice and perfect their lab skills withouth being held back by the fear of making (costly) mistakes. Made in collaboration with the University of Sydney.
